Course overview
This training programme focuses on how to structured commodity finance considering the borrower’s entire commodity business. It is designed to meet the needs of commodity finance relationship managers, credit managers, commodity finance transactional banking managers, credit auditors, and trade finance operations managers.
Since its first introduction in 2000, it has revised eight times because of changes of ICC rules changes in international trade on documentary credit, documentary collections, demand guarantees and other relevant publications underpins structured commodity financing. In providing structured commodity financing based on various structured finance models, the financing banks take the business assets as securities under different types of structured commodity finance. The lenders face with performance risks apart from credit risk under structured commodity financing. A complete understanding of performance risks is a must for commodity finance relationship managers, credit managers, transactional banking managers, and trade finance operations managers. The production of a comprehensive credit paper has to address critical performance and credit issues based on different structured commodity finance models. |
Program Objectives
The structured commodity finance course aims at raising competencies of corporate bankers, commercial bankers and commodity finance specialists in designing and packaging structured commodity finance to meet their clients’ specific needs. The Trainer
The trainer trained practitioner with about 28 years of intensive banking experience. His experience includes trade finance operations, structured trade & commodity finance, SME and corporate banking lending, aircraft financing, ship financing, and loan syndication. He had held VP(H) & Group Head/Team Head appointments in both Singapore and American banks. He has 27 years of training corporate and commercial banking managers and trade finance managers and specialists.
